DR. S. SUBRAMANYA

Ornithologist

Dr. S. Subramanya is an esteemed ornithologist with decades of experience in the field of birdwatching and conservation. With a doctorate degree in Agricultural ornithology, he has worked with the Bombay Natural History Society and BirdLife International in the UK. Dr. Subramanya has a keen interest in studying wetlands, waterbirds, heronries and threatened birds. Since his retirement, he has volunteered with the Karnataka State Forest Department, contributing significantly to ornithological conservation initiatives in the state. He has played a pivotal role in the declaration of Ramadevarabetta Vulture Sanctuary, Biodiversity Heritage Site at GKVK Campus, Puttenahalli Bird Conservation Reserve and Backwaters of Almatti Reservoir in Bagalkote district of Karnataka as a Conservation Reserve. Dr. Subramanya is also a Ramsar Site compiler and one of the eBird reviewers for Karnataka.

MR. SUNIL LIMAYE

Ex-PCCF - Wildlife Maharashtra

Mr. Sunil Limaye, an IFS officer of 1988 batch, has extensive experience in scientific management planning and conservation of wildlife in various regions of India. He has successfully stopped illegal mining and encroachments from forest areas, and established Joint Forest Management Committees in fringe villages. He has also initiated adventure sports and ecotourism activities in forest divisions to promote conservation and livelihood opportunities. As Additional Tribal Commissioner, he transformed teaching methods for tribal students, and started local barefoot doctor's scheme involving local women of villages. He has conserved wildlife in Vidarbha, Western Ghats, and dry regions of Marathwada. Mr. Limaye has been recognized for his contributions, and new species of Gecko and spider have been named after him.

MR. DINI LINGARAJ

Group Manager, Sustainability at Wipro

Dinni Lingaraj is a Group Manager in the sustainability initiatives group at Wipro and leads and anchors various sustainability programs within the organization and the community. Within this role, his work cuts across functions of HR, Operations, Procurement, among others. He continues to be actively involved in the design and execution of the earthian sustainability education program. He also volunteers as a counsellor with the employee assistance program. Prior to this, he was leading IT projects for large Europe based BFSI customers. He is a Masters in Chemical Engineering from IIT, Kanpur and has a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Dr. B.A. Technological University, Maharashtra. Outside work, he is actively involved in the affairs of a resident association.

MR. CHRISTIAN PILLARD

Founder and President - Ecosys Action Foundation

Christian Pilard is the president of the Eco-Sys Action Foundation in Hong Kong which was founded in 2002 out of his passion for the world.

His goal is to help social projects in high biodiversity areas as well as projects inspiring people and saving wildlife, just like the amazing work of the Nature Forever Society. Another important part of the Eco-Sys Action Foundation is to raise positive awareness on the environment in Hong Kong and China, and how people can help global conservation.

He is also the founder of The Little Museum of the World, an educational time machine like no other places in Hong Kong where children and adults alike can understand the History of the world better and therefore be in a better position to help save the Planet and build Peace.

Christian has always been fascinated by the beauty of the world, its cultures, its people and its nature. With Boopy, a little orange sparrow mascot, he wants to bring a symbol of Hope and Peace to the children of the world while helping meaningful projects across the globe.

From 2018 to 2022, he has been listed every year on Provoke media (erstwhile Holmes Report) Influence 100 research and listing of the world’s most influential in-house marketing and communications professionals.

Sujit Patil is a qualified Instrumentation engineer with MBA in marketing and a Diploma in advertising and PR. He is a regular speaker and jury at various national and international bodies such as the World Communication Forum, Davos, AMEC, ICCO, PR Newsweek Asia, Public Affairs Asia, etc. He volunteers as a guest faculty at various B-Schools, is a weekend farmer, loves travelling, understanding cultures and experimenting with new cuisines. He is passionate about Sparrow conservation and girl child education.
