Biodiversity hotspots are one of the most important assets for native plants, insects, bees, butterflies, birds and many bird populations who are struggling due to the fragmentation, loss of natives, abundance of non-native floral community and degradation. Natives provide opportunity to flourish flora and fauna from micro to macro level in habitat, climate, hosts, shelter, food, and nesting places.
Native plants offer food, shelter, and breeding grounds for various species, including birds, insects, and small mammals. Benefits wildlife and also contributes to a healthier and more resilient ecosystem.
Serve as invaluable gene banks, preserving the genetic diversity of local plant species. Safeguard the unique genetic traits that have evolved over time to adapt to specific environmental conditions.
Native plants hold deep cultural significance, especially for Indigenous communities. They are integral to traditional practices, ceremonies, and daily life. Native plants are also featured in folklore and stories, reflecting their importance in cultural heritage.
These initiatives support the intricate web of life that depends on native plants, ensuring the health and sustainability of our natural landscapes. Providing essential habitats and food sources for local wildlife, including birds, insects, and mammals.
