Nature photography has for long been associated with glamorous species, expensive cameras and exotic locations. Matters have not changed much with people having cameras with telescopic lens and DSLRs travelling to far flung areas to get images of exotic species ranging from the tiger to the Great Indian Bustard. This has resulted in an imbalance in which we have a surfeit of high quality images of threatened and glamorous species while images of common species are rare.

Nature Forever Society would like to change this attitude in this age of the more prosaic, digital and mobile phone cameras and want common people to get involved in photographic documenting of the common flora and fauna of the country. It also aims to increase awareness of common flora and fauna which are found in and around human beings and urban locales.
