Nature Forever Society

Nature Forever Society (NFS) has been working for the conservation of house sparrows, common flora and fauna for the past 13 years. Nature Forever Society, founded by Mohammed Dilawar in 2005 and was formally registered on January 13, 2008. Dilawar is the President of Nature Forever Society. NFS established a Native Plant Research and Conservation Centre in 2016 while studying and developing habitats for house sparrows and other local birds.

The main objectives of this facility are to study native plants and its propagation techniques, raise public awareness regarding the conservation and promotion of native plants. We at Nature Forever Society believe that native plants should be promoted on an emergency basis owing to the limited propagation and conservation of native plant species and a sharp decline in plantation area.

Our Superhero

Founder & CEO

Mohammed Dilawar discovered the decline of sparrows in India due to rapid urbanization. He created the Nature Forever Society (NFS) in 2005 to conserve common bird species and raise awareness about their importance in the ecosystem. NFS aims to provide nesting opportunities for sparrows, such as the "Adopt Nest Box" scheme, which uses recycled pine heart wood to build nests.

Dilawar has sold over 1000 nest boxes and bird-feeders, earning him the title "hero" of the environment. He also focuses on providing food for sparrows, which rely on humans for their ecological needs. NFS promotes sparrow conservation through awareness drives and international efforts like World House Sparrow Day. India's first World Sparrow Day inspired 50 countries, making the day a global people's movement. Over 40,000 people nationwide have joined NFS in the past few years.
